It has come to our attention for several users of this site that SCAM artists are using our site (along with many other popular classifieds and auction sites) to try to scam sellers of musical equipment out of their money!
They are using the very well know forged Money Order, Postal Order, or Cashiers Check scam where they will overpay you and ask you to send the remaining money back to them or their "shipping agent".
Some of you may not be aware of these scams yet. Do a search on Google.com for "common internet scams money order fraud" or some similar key words, and you'll find plenty of sites descrbing these scams and their variations.

Unfortunately, there is no way for us to stop people like this from using our classifieds system and responding to your Equipment For Sale ads. Anybody can respond to an ad on our system and there is no way for us to track them down or identify them.
The bottom line is, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Also, run away quickly from anyone from another country offering to buy your equipment via a money order, especially if they try to pay you more than you asked for and want you to send them or someone else the left over money.
