The purpose of Music-And-Technology.com is simply to give back to musical community.
My name is Stephen Sherrard, and I consider myself very fortunate to be able to make a living working as a full time music producer and recording engineer in the music industry. I've been working in this business professionally for over 14 years now (as of 2008). Music-And-Technology.com is my way of giving back to musical community that has been so gracious to me.
On this site I attempt to share some of the knowledge I have gained along the way, mostly on the technical recording side, but also on the business side of the business. As much as possible, I also try to answer your questions in any area that I am qualified. Check out the Message Board for my "Ask MusicTECH" section where I personally answer as many questions as I can.
Music-And-Technology.com is mostly a labor of love. In addition to producing music and recording, I also enjoy playing around with web design. Of course, I'll use Music-And-Technology.com to promote my other sites and my own production company once in a while, and there are some affiliate links on this site that generate a very small amount of money. As of right now (December 2005), the site does not make enough money to even cover its expenses, but I feel it is my obligation to share what I have learned and to help others out in any way that I can.
If you have any questions for me, the first preference is to post them on the Message Board so that others can learn from my answers as well. If it is something more personal in nature, or that simply isn't suited for the message board, then use the contact page to send me a private e-mail. Also, feel free to send me your comments or feedback on the site, or if you have something useful to contribute or would like to help out in any way at all, please don't hesitate to contact me!
